The Chamber of Minerals and Energy has announced Rio Tinto executive Greg Lilleyman will take over as president, replacing Kim Horne, who will step down but continue as vice president.
Mr Lilleyman, who was appointed president of Rio's Pilbara iron ore operations in January, was named new president at the chamber's 110th annual general meeting today.
