Shares in contractor Brierty jumped 18 per cent after the company announced it had been named preferred contractor on a job valued at about $150 million over three and a half years.
"A contract is yet to be signed, with negotiations still to occur on the final terms and conditions," the company said in a statement.
"Pending successful negotiation, the project is expected to commence late in the 2011 financial year."
