Engineer Clough today says it has received the first order for early works for the Papua New Guinea liquefied natural gas project.
Clough announced in June that it had won the job for early works on the project, operated through the Esso Highlands, through its Clough Curtain Joint Venture.
But the project would be subject to individual work orders.
Clough said on Monday the first work order had been issued for $US43 million ($A64 million) for advance mobilisation and early works.
The initial scope of work includes the construction of camps, and select road and bridge upgrades, Clough said.AAP
