Deloitte Perth's long-serving managing partner Keith Jones is retiring from the accounting firm after 38 years and 14 years at its helm.
The firm has named consulting partner Michael McNulty to replace Mr Jones when he leaves at the end of May.
Mr McNulty will lead the Perth office of 500 staff and maintain his leadership of Deloitte's Consulting practice in WA.
Deloitte said Mr McNulty had 20 years' of consulting experience and already led a team of 11 partners and more than 130 consultants spanning strategy and operations, human capital, enterprise information management and technology advisory.
He started his professional services career in audit and has worked for major private and public sector clients in Australia, Asia, UK, USA and Africa, with a focus on the energy and resources sector.
He specialises in large-scale transformation and business improvement projects and has also lead major technology change programs.
Mr Jones said he would take new directorships after leaving Deloitte.Mr McNulty said Mr Jones had grown the Perth business from a base of about 100 employees to be Deloitte's largest, fastest growing and most profitable practice in the regions, with annual revenue exceeding $110 million and more than 500 employees.
