Sandfire reports more good hits

Market darling Sandfire Resources has reported what it described as "spectacular" drilling results from its Doolgunna copper-gold discovery, 150km north of Meekatharra.

Revealing the results from its latest drilling campaign - which included intersections of 9.1 metres at 34.1 per cent copper and 3.3 grams per tonne of silver and 38.9m at 4.7 per cent copper and 2.2gpt silver - Sandfire said it expected to complete a maiden JORC resource by early first quarter 2010.

Shares in Sandfire closed 20¢ higher at $3.90 yesterday before the results were released.
