The Australian sharemarket has closed higher despite disappointing jobs figures.
At the close, the benchmark S&P/ASX200 index was 18.2 points, or 0.38 per cent higher at 4756.6, while the broader All Ordinaries index was up 14.7 points, or 0.31 per cent, at 4779.7.
On the ASX 24, the March share price index futures contract was 20 points higher at 4725, with 30,695 contracts traded.
