Missing windsurfer's body found

Windsurfer missing at Prevelly

The body of a windsurfer missing near Prevelly Park has been found this morning.

Margaret River police resumed searching for the 44-year-old man after an initial search yesterday.

The man was last seen windsurfing around 4.45 pm when he appeared to be in difficulty near a surf break locally known as Bombie.

The man's body was found just before 6.30am today near Rivermouth Point.

Water Police, Police Air-wing, Volunteer Sea Search and Rescue and Margaret River Surf Lifesaving were involved in the search.

It was hampered by a large swell and strong winds last night.
