A man has been charged with murdering a taxi driver nearly a year ago.
Police allege Grant Lindon Collard, 46, was a passenger in a taxi being driven by Lindsay Terrance Ferguson, which crashed at an intersection in Mandurah on April 24.
Mr Ferguson, 67, died at the scene.
It is alleged Mr Collard threatened Mr Ferguson while armed with a weapon and then damaged the taxi's radio and dashboard.
Mr Collard was previously charged with assaulting the driver of a passenger vehicle with aggravating circumstances, deprivation of liberty, criminal damage and threats with intent to compel an act.
He was also charged with two counts of threat with intent to gain benefit.
Mr Collard is due back in Perth Magistrate's Court on Friday to face those offences and the new charge of murder.
