Two backpackers have been charged after allegedly trying to set fire to their boss' car, with the man and his three-year old daughter inside.
The brothers, aged 24 and 28, will face allegations of acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm after the incident near Denbarker in the Great Southern region.
WA Police will allege the men stopped their car on Seymour Road on Wednesday, and then flagged down the victim, who was their supervisor at a nearby strawberry farm.
The two men allegedly approached the man's car and poured petrol on him and the vehicle, before trying to set it alight with a cigarette lighter.
The child was in a baby seat in the back seat of the vehicle, and police say some of the fuel also splashed on her.
The two men were arrested at a backpackers' hostel in Perth, and were due to appear in court on Friday.
