Two women have been found dead in a Warwick home this afternoon.
Police spokeswoman Susan Usher said at 2.40pm police were called to a property on Felgate Place in Warwick.
When officers arrived they discovered two women dead inside the home.
Their deaths are currently being treated as suspicious.
Felgate Place was in lockdown as forensics officers and paramedics investigate at the scene.
A neighbour said she was shocked by the incident on what was usually a quiet suburban street.
She said the area was relatively safe, apart from a few burglaries, the most recent of which occurred two weeks ago and the first she heard of any incident was when emergency services arrived at about 3.30pm.
Neighbours said they believed the home was occupied by a mother aged in her 50s and her daughter, who were both from England.
They said the mother was regularly seen walking her dog in the neighbourhood.
Major crime detectives joined forensic officers at the scene.
Insp. Dom Wood confirmed two people had been found dead and that the deaths were being treated as suspicious.
"This is a very serious incident. It has happened in a suburban location," he said.
Police, including the PolAir helicopter, are searching for a blue/purple Mazda3 2008 sedan in relation to the suspicious deaths.
The car’s registration is 1CZO137.
Police advise the public not to approach the vehicle but to call 000 with information about where they have spotted it.
