Explosions at teller machines in Perth's southern suburbs this morning have destroyed at least two shops.
Spokeswoman Susan Usher said the first ATM blast happened about 4.14am at the Stargate Shopping Centre on Lydon Boulevard in Atwell.
A takeaway fish and chicken shop was badly damaged but the ATM appeared to have remained intact.
Less than 10 minutes later and just 6km away, there was another explosion at an ATM at the Hammond Park Shopping on Macquarie Boulevard, Hammond Park.
The Hammond Park blast destroyed the C15 Espresso cafe.
Officers from the Department of Fire and Emergency Services, the Bomb Response Group and the Arson Squad are attending.
Police have not commented on the extent of the damage or if the two attacks were linked.
The number of ATMs attacked in the metropolitan area in the last two months to 15.
