Perth detectives want bar customers' help in their investigation into an assault which left a man without sight in one eye.
Gareth, who did not want his surname used, says he was attacked without warning as he went to help workmates in a minor scuffle in Carnegie's on Friday evening.
Perth City Detectives are seeking witnesses to the assault at the Murray Street bar on December 20 in which the 26-year-old Osborne Park man was seriously injured.
Police say that an altercation occurred between the victim and a group of men about 9.15pm.
"During the incident, it is believed that the victim was hit to the face with an unknown object, causing significant injury to his left eye," a police spokeswoman said.
"The victim was conveyed to Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital where he had surgery; however he suffered irreparable damage to his left eye as a result of his injuries.
"There were a number of people in Carnegies at the time and anyone who may have witnessed the incident or can help with with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000."
