A 30-year-old man has been charged after a police noticed suspicious behaviour at a Northam service station.
About 10.40pm yesterday, patrolling officers saw a motorcycle being refuelled at a Caltex service station on Peel Terrace.
When the rider spotted the police, he allegedly took his jacket off and placed it over the back of the motorcycle to obscure the registration plate.
Police approached the rider and discovered that the bike had been stolen on September 1.
It is alleged that in a pannier strapped to the fuel tank there was drug paraphernalia as well as a clip seal bad containing around 3.3g of material believed to be methylamphetamine.
The Ferndale man was charged with stealing, supplying false number plates and possessing prohibited drugs with intent to sell or supply.
He is due to appear in Northam Magistrates Court on January 20.
