Paula Voce certainly has her hands full with three children under the age of three but the popular Seven personality will add an extra element to the balancing act when she returns to TV screens tomorrow.
After taking a break from work following the birth of her twins earlier this year, Voce will fill in for newsreaders Rick Ardon and Susannah Carr from Christmas Day to January 10 on what is consistently rated the No.1 news broadcast in Perth.
Speaking to AAA from her Floreat home, the presenter said she was excited to be heading back into the studio that became her second home for much of her career.
"I am very much looking forward to it, I've really missed it," Voce, who also hosted the lifestyle series Create, Design, Live last year, said.
"It's been great being a mum but I've missed being part of the newsroom and part of a team."
Voce's husband, Jim Ilias, will step in as "Mr Mum" to care for three-year-old Jorja and 10-month- old twins Jaxon and Alexa while she lights up the small screen each night, with Voce observing that her eldest was now at an age where she should recognise her mother on the TV screen.
The family also won't be missing out on Christmas despite it being the first day of Voce's stint, with the clan preparing to celebrate early today instead.
"We will be having a Christmas Eve Christmas this year," she said.
"Then I will be with the kids in the morning, too. We will wake up and open presents and then I'll go to work."
Though life has undoubtedly changed for her since swapping the newsroom for motherhood, Voce calls her evolving role as a mum "the most wonderful job in the world".
"There are so many rewards on the way through because it is very hard work," she laughed.
"But they are wonderful kids and I love them to bits."
