A 64-year-old man has died in a diving incident off Point Peron this morning.
At around 9.30am, four men were diving off Point Peron. The man’s friends surfaced and found that the man was not with them.
Shortly after, they found him floating unconscious nearby.
They pulled him into a boat and attempted to revive him, before transporting him back to shore to meet ambulance officers.
The man was declared dead shortly after.
Water police and ambulance officers are at the scene.
The man’s death is not being treated as suspicious, and Police will now prepare a report for the Coroner.
In a separate incident, a Perth man on holidays is reported to have drowned in a fishing incident at Albany last night.
The 56-year-old man was reported missing around 7pm after slipping off the rocks at Nanarup Beach.
Rescue crews helped look for the man.
