A 27-year-old woman accused of killing her friend in an alleged drink-driving accident may have been under the influence of a variety of drugs, a court was told.
Michelle Lee Blake, from Clarkson, appeared in Joondalup Magistrate's Court yesterday on charges of excess .05, driving without a licence and dangerous driving occasioning death.
On November 27, she allegedly crashed her car on Hepburn Avenue in Kingsley, causing the death of Morley mother-of-one Kim Jade Green, 30.
Prosecutor Sgt Paul Ritchie told the court blood analysis results had shown traces of opiates, amphetamines and cannabis. The case was adjourned to January 31, when the prosecution expects to have the final toxicology report.
Outside court, Ms Green's father Neil said he saw no point in sending Ms Blake to jail.
