Police will resume their search of an area in the Perth Hills on Monday following the discovery of human remains believed to be that of a missing man.
Michael Paul Pruiti, 31, has been missing since late October and his disappearance is being treated as a homicide.
Mr Pruiti was last seen in Forrestfield on October 23 and has not touched his bank account or contacted family since.
Detectives have been searching bushland in Karragullen, where the remains were found on Saturday.
Police said the remains were believed to be Mr Pruiti, but formal identification had not yet occurred.
A spokesman said the area was still under police guard and forensic officers would return there on Monday.
