A car was dragged along a track after it crashed through a boom gate and collided with a train this morning.
The 37-year-old female driver from Deepdale suffered internal injuries and injured her ankle, wrist and knee, police said.
Her passenger, a 37-year-old man from Narngulu, injured his chest and abdomen and suffered suspected internal injuries.
Both were taken to Geraldton Regional Hospital.
Police said they were called to the crash at 4.15am.
The crash between the car and train happened near the intersection of Rudds Gully and Edwards roads in Narngulu.
"It appears the rail boom gates were lowered, however the vehicle crashed through the boom gates and collided with the side of the train, a 102 carriage ore train," police said.
"The car was dragged along the track and suffered significant damage.
"Inquiries into the circumstances into the crash are continuing."
