Beyonce has surprised her fans by dropping an album on iTunes unannounced.
Twitter was abuzz on Friday with news of the new release, dubbed a "Visual Album" for its inclusion of videos.
MTV tweeted "It's official, Beyonce just won the internet".
The singer's record label, Columbia records, tweeted on Friday: "Beyonce The Visual Album. 14 songs 17 videos available now on iTunesMusic", and included a link to the track listing on iTunes.
The self-titled album is a family affair for the singer with a song featuring Jay Z Called Drunk In Love and another track and video entitled Blue which features her daughter Blue Ivy.
Other collaborations on Beyonce's album include songs featuring Drake and Frank Ocean.
The album closes with a digital booklet.
While Beyonce didn't tweet anything herself, her sister Solange was quick to tweet her praise to the secret album drop: "So my sister is a f***ing G. Beyonce, the visual album out now."
With many artists such as Lady Gaga and Lana Del Rey suffering from album leaks, Beyonce's surprise release was one way to foil hackers.
