Two men are in hospital with serious injuries after a wild brawl involving about 20 people in Northbridge overnight.
One man has a deep wound in his neck and the other a deep wound to his wrist.
Four people were taken to hospital for treatment.
The fight is thought to have started outside the Aberdeen hotel and ended outside a cafe on William Street.
The two people are thought to have been stabbed.
Police have reopened Williams Street between Aberdeen Street and Newcastle Street and council workers are cleaning the blood from the footpath.
The street is likely to be closed for several hours.
Blood had stained the footpath outside Aida Cafe.
