With a string of movie projects under her belt, including a critically acclaimed indie feature and a big-budget action flick, it's safe to say WA actress Emma Booth has had a momentous year.
But despite sharing the screen with some of Hollywood's biggest stars, the Busselton-raised and Los Angeles-based star could not be happier to be home to spend Christmas with her family.
"I have to be back home for Christmas - it's a must every year," she said.
Booth, 31, returned to Perth this week and was last night due to attend the premiere of WA short film Tango Underpants at Luna Palace Cinema in Leederville and also a special screening at bamBOO Outdoor Cinema in Highgate.
The film, shot in Argentina, is based on the short story by Carolyn Swindell and written by top Australian screenwriter John Collee.
Booth stars as an Australian backpacker who takes a journey through South America to "find herself".
Along with Perth directors Miranda and Khrob Edmonds, a host of West Australians worked on the production including designer Aurelio Costarella who created Booth's tango outfit.
Work hasn't been hard to come by for Booth this year.
She starred in the action film Parker alongside Jason Statham and Jennifer Lopez. Booth says next year was looking busy too.
