Kiwi blokes steer clear of textbooks

Kiwi men aren't just less inclined to pick up a mop than women - they're steering clear of textbooks too.

New Zealand blokes have taken a battering in new research showing that fewer are graduating with bachelor degrees.

They're now outnumbered two-to-one by female university graduates who are moving in to dominate traditional male professions like medicine and law.

The figures show just 6,906 men graduated with a degree last year, compared with 12,894 women, and while female numbers are climbing, those for men are dropping off.

The findings come quick on the heels of a British study showing New Zealand men also fall short in helping out with household chores and looking after the children.

It's just lucky another survey rated Kiwi men among the world's best lovers - eighth-placed internationally, well ahead of Germans (too smelly), English (too lazy), Swedish (too quick) and Dutch (too dominating).
