A Chinese father frustrated that his unemployed son was addicted to gaming hired online hitmen to kill his son's avatar every time it appeared.

Britain's Daily Mail newspaper reports that the man, named as Mr Feng, hired the expert players to target his son's online character.

Mr Feng, who lives with this his son in Shaanxi province in central China, reportedly blamed his son's constant game playing for his failure to get and hold a job.

Mr Feng told the local Sanqing Daily newspaper that his son's grades fell away after he started playing online games in high school.

But the online plan failed when Feng junior asked the hitmen why they were targeting him.

He reportedly told his father: "I can play or I can not play, it doesn't bother me. I'm not looking for any job—I want to take some time to find one that suits me."
