Police have arrested a woman whose children died after she allegedly threw them from a 15th-floor balcony in Russia.
Shocked neighbours in the Moscow apartment complex where the family lived said they heard the impact of the two bodies of the boys, aged 4 and 7, hitting the ground on Sunday.
Galina Ryabkova, 30, was "fed up with children" and "decided to get rid of them", according to reports.
It is understood that Ms Ryabkova's husband was away on either a vacation or a business trip at the time the children were killed.
Surveillance video captured Ms Ryabkova, who lived on the eighth floor, moments after the incident. She stayed calm as neighbours kept an eye on her until police arrived to arrest her.
A neighbour said his wife told him "that there were children falling" from the building.
"We ran out and saw two children lying on the ground in front of the main door," the neighbour is quoted as saying.
"Just at that time their mother was leaving the building. We asked her if these were her children and she replied, emotionlessly, 'Yes, I threw them away'."The woman was taken to a psychiatric hospital, "where she will be under security while the investigation is on", RT news service reported.
