WA company Wesfarmers, which employs 5500 people in New Zealand, is donating $NZ1 million ($A740,796) to the Prime Minister's New Zealand Christchurch Earthquake Appeal.
Wesfarmers owns Bunnings, Kmart, Blackwoods Paykels, Lumley General NZ, Crombie Lockwood, NZ Safety, Packaging House and Protector Safety, which collectively employ 5500 people across New Zealand.
The Perth-based company said it was a long term investor in New Zealand.
Wesfarmers shares were down 27 cents to $32.99 at 12.05pm.Sponsored links
