A severe weather warning has been issued for parts of the Gascoyne, Goldfields and Wheatbelt, with the threat of damaging winds, hail and heavy rain.
The severe weather is expected to hit the coastal area from Jurien Bay to Dongara first but the State Emergency Service has received no damage reports.
The Bureau of Meteorology has issued a severe weather warning for people in the area bounded by Eneabba, Mount Magnet, Leinster, Norseman, Hyden, York and Gingin, including people in the towns of Dalwallinu, York, Southern Cross and Kalgoorlie.The Department of Fire and Emergency Services has warned weather of this type only occurs once or twice a year and could cause major damage to homes and make travel dangerous.
