Two injured in paintball attack

Two people have been injured in a series of paintball shooting south of Perth yesterday.

Police received numerous reports between 6.15am and 8.30am of a group of men firing what is believed to be a paintball gun as they drove through Rockingham, Baldivis, Bertram and Mandogalup.

A 21-year-old Rockingham man and a 26-year-old Mandurah woman were injured when they were hit with what police believe to be paintball pellets.

The man received bruising to his body and was treated at Rockingham Hospital. The woman was also bruised but did not require medical assistance.

The car police are seeking is an older-style white hatchback containing two or three fair skinned males aged between 17 to 19 years of age.

Paintball guns are classified as firearms under section 4 of the Firearms Act and must be licensed.

Anyone using a paintball gun outside the conditions of use is committing an offence.
