A 28-year-old taxi driver accused of indecently assaulting a female passenger will fight the allegations at a trial.

Sukhbir Singh Sidhu has had his taxi licence suspended while he faces the allegation in Perth Magistrate's Court.

He was charged last month after police alleged he "acted inappropriately towards the woman" during her trip on March 30. Police have said the woman caught Mr Sidhu's taxi and was driven to her initial destination.

She then got back into his taxi and asked to be taken to the Perth police station. It is alleged that Mr Sidhu indecently assaulted her, then agreed to wait for her at the police station on the understanding he would drive her home.
