A couple will face a hearing over a move by authorities to extradite them to Queensland to face fraud allegations.
Authorities want to extradite Sharyn Louise Cicolini and her husband Clifford Roger Cicolini to Queensland after they were apprehended on an interstate warrant.
The couple were charged in Queensland in 2002 over alleged fraudulent bank loans for their rural cattle station.
Mr and Mrs Cicolini appeared in Perth Magistrate's Court this morning where the application to have them extradited was set down for a hearing on November 11.
The court was told the couple's defence lawyer had only received documents from Queensland authorities yesterday.
The court heard Mr Cicolini maintains his innocence and wants to return to Queensland. In adjourning the matter for a hearing, Magistrate Brian Gluestein said: "It escapes me what the issue might be from the defence point of view".
