Kingdon rejects claims she attacked Mercanti

Tammy Kingdon has rejected suggestions she "rained blows" on her former partner bikie Troy Mercanti but conceded she had been an "exhibitionist" in her 20s.

Ms Kingdon is on her third day of giving evidence in Mr Mercanti’s District Court trial where is fighting allegations he inflicted domestic violence during their 15-year relationship.

Ms Kingdon, 36, has testified that some of the assaults saw her cowering naked outside the home and that a group "sex session" involving the couple had sparked anger in Mr Mercanti and the final assaults before she went to police in 2012.

Today, Mr Mercanti’s lawyer, Colin Lovitt QC, began cross examination, suggesting Ms Kingdon had been violent towards his client and was an exhibitionist.

"You are someone who likes to get their kit of off in public," he suggested.

Ms Kingdon clarified whether he meant now or when she was younger, conceding she had been that way when she was in her 20s but not now.

She agreed she had once run scantily clad on to the oval during an Eagles and Carlton AFL match and identified herself in a Living Dolls promotion card.

Continuing his questioning of her early career, Mr Lovitt showed the jury photos of Ms Kingdon posed scantily clad on a motorcycle.

Ms Kingdon, who is testifying via video link, could be heard crying as the images were presented on the screen.

Ms Kingdon had earlier testified that she had initially been disappointed with herself after she slept with Mr Mercanti as a 19-year-old because she had not wanted to "lower" herself to the standard of a bikie. She said she gave him her phone number days later because he seemed nice.

Ms Kingdon rejected suggestions that she had many times hit Mr Mercanti during their relationship.

Earlier, she told the jury she had stayed with Mr Mercanti after the assaults because she loved him, wanted to keep her family together for their sons, and eventually out of fear.
