A man who threatened staff with a syringe fled a North Perth fast food restaurant with cash last night.

Just after 8pm, the man entered McDonald's on the corner of Scarborough Beach Road and Charles Street and demanded money.

He fled with cash and fled west towards a nearby BP service station.

The bandit was about 183cm tall and had a heavy brown beard.

He wore a cream-coloured cap and pants and a black T-shirt.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
