Cyclist hit by car in Beechboro

Update, 2.30pm: A cyclist has been hospitalised after being hit by a car in Beechboro this morning.

The cyclist was taken to Sir Charles Gardiner Hospital this morning after being hit on the intersection of Lord Street and Benara Road.

The cyclist has been taken to Royal Perth Hospital with non-lifethreatening head injuries.

Major Crash is at the scene investigating the crash.

Police have closed the intersection for about two hours this morning and have warned of traffic delays in the area.

Motorists are being encouraged to avoid the area.
