Sam Tomlin, The West Australian February 14, 2013, 6:20 pm

Police are searching for a 21-year old man who sparked a police siege in a Cragie street this afternoon.

Officers were called to the Mayflower Crescent home just after 3pm today after what neighbours said was a string of disruptions from the property since early this morning.

Officers from the tactical response group stormed the house but it is believed the man had already fled the property.

Firefighters were called to the property earlier today when the man allegedly set fire to a pile of car parts in the back yard.

Neighbours said the man became aggressive when the firefighters arrived and punched the 70 year old neighbour who reported the fire.

It is not year known whether the man has made any threats toward police or the general public.
