A woman caused thousands of dollars damage to a Claremont home yesterday when she crashed her car into the lounge room after accidently putting her foot on the accelerator.
The driver pulled into the driveway of the home in her white Holden Astra about 4.10pm before realising she was at the wrong house.
Police said she then accidently hit the accelerator and ploughed through a window and into the front lounge room of the Osborne Parade home.
Nobody was home at the time and the driver was not injured.
State Emergency Service volunteers were last night working to stabilise the home and remove the car from the room.
A police spokesman said the driver and homeowner were insured.Sponsored links
