Woman attacked, robbed in Carlisle

A 33-year-old woman was robbed by four people after she got off a train in Carlisle last night.

Police said the woman left Oats Street train station about 10.40pm and was walking along Oats Street when she noticed three women and a man following her.

When the victim got to the roundabout at Read Street she was hit in the back of the head and fell to the ground.

The woman suffered minor injuries and the offenders stole her handbag and ran away.

One of the offenders is described as aged in their mid to late teens and all had dark skin.
