Tourist caught in rip, drowns

A 47-year-old tourist drowned after he was caught in a rip off Mindarie yesterday.

Police said a report would be prepared for the State Coroner after the man, who was from the United Kingdom, died at Clayton Beach about 5pm.

It is believed the man, who was on holiday, had only arrived in Perth in the past few days.
