Armed bandit targets McDonalds

An armed bandit attempted to rob a McDonald's drive-through overnight.

About 2am, the man approached the drive-through on Wanneroo Road in Madeley.

He opened the sliding window and holding a knife demanded money from the male cashier.

The employee stepped aside, before the man reached in through the window and waved the knife around.

He again demanded money from the till, before stabbing at the cash register causing damage.

The employee closed the window and the offender walked away.

The offender is described as being fair skinned, mid to late 30s, wearing a light coloured hoody.
