Airlifted crash drivers in RPH

Two drivers airlifted to Perth after serious crashes yesterday remain in Royal Perth Hospital in a serious condition.

A 17-year-old boy was driving on South West Highway when he crashed into a tree just after 2pm.

Emergency service personnel managed to free him from the wreck, after which he was flown to RPH by the RAC Rescue Helicopter.

The helicopter was called out again at 7.45pm when a 54-year-old driver crashed into a tree near Carabooda.

He was flown to RPH a short time later.
