Wembley Downs house fire

Elle Farcic, The West Australian December 31, 2012, 4:43 pm

A fire caused about $800,000 damage to a Wembley Downs home this afternoon.

Firefighters were called to the Cobb Street home about 2.30pm after a fire started at the rear of the house.

It took five crews about 25 minutes to get the blaze under control.

No one was home at the time.

A fire investigation officer will determine the cause of the blaze.

It is not being treated as suspicious.
