The State Government's venue management body Venues West has sought advice from WA Police over a music festival being promoted by party boy George Peppas.
George was a key organiser of an out-of-control party in Piara Waters in September that took 70 officers to bring under control.
The 17-year-old's name has now been linked to a music festival scheduled to take place at Arena Joondalup on February 2.
"Sound Utopia by George Peppas" has been advertised on Facebook since December 3.
While the all-ages event has so far attracted minimal interest, it is believed organisers are looking to take advantage of the teenager's "cult hero" status. He has 10,000 subscribers to his Facebook page.
_The Weekend West _ understands Venues West was not aware of George's involvement until his name was spotted on promotional artwork.
The festival's future is likely to depend on whether police advise the body to go ahead with the event. On a poster for the event, promoter Black Feather Entertainment says they "promote good clean fun for the younger generation". The company declined to comment and George did not return calls.
