West Australian Miss Universe finalist Renae Ayris has returned to Perth after narrowly missing out on the crown in last week's Las Vegas final.
The 22-year-old Connolly beauty touched down today after being named third runner-up behind roommate Miss USA at the glamorous event last Thursday.
Having landed in the top five alongside pageant favourites Miss Brazil, Miss Venezuela and Miss Philippines, Ayris' pageant journey ran smoothly without any wardrobe malfunctions, slips or falls and even saw her give one of the best answers during the Q&A session.
Contestants from 89 countries on six continents spent the past two weeks in Sin City, where they posed in hardhats at a hotel groundbreaking, took a painting lesson, and pranked hotel guests by hiding in their rooms.
The winner of the crown received an undisclosed salary, a wardrobe fit for a queen, a limitless supply of beauty products, and a luxury apartment in New York City.
The pageant started as a local revue in Long Beach, California, organised by Catalina Swimwear.
