Man dies after Wokalup crash

An 18-year-old man died after crashing into a tree on South Western Highway in Wokalup around 6am this morning.

"An 18 year old male from Australind was driving a Holden Commodore north along the South West Highway, Wokalup when his vehicle hit a tree," a police spokeswoman said.

"He was the sole occupant of the vehicle. He was flown to Royal Perth Hospital but sadly died a short time ago."

A spokesman for the Department of Fire and Emergency Services said the 18-year-old man was taken to Harvey Hospital by road before being transferred to RPH by the emergency rescue helicopter.
