A teenage girl and a truck driver were killed in separate crashes south of Perth today.
The 17-year-old girl from Port Kennedy died after her blue Hyundai Elantra crossed to the wrong side of Folly Road and veered into the path of an oncoming truck.
The male driver and passenger in the Nissan tipper truck were uninjured in the crash, which happened near a bend at the intersection of Young Street, about 10.40am.
Major crash investigators are trying to determine why the teenager’s car crossed to the wrong side of the road.
A truck driver was killed just after 2pm when his truck ran into the back of another truck on Old Coast Road in Myalup.
The highly combustible load of fertiliser carried by the truck caught fire after the crash, with the flames spreading to nearby bushland.

Northbound lanes and one southbound lane of Old Coast Road were expected to remain closed until 10pm tonight.Police are investigating the causes of both crashes, anyone with information is urged to phone Crime Stoppers in 1800 333 000.
