Two teenagers have pleaded not guilty this morning to charges laid over the fire which gutted Mt Lawley Primary School and caused an estimated $9 million damage.
The boys, aged 15 and 16, appeared in the Perth Children’s Court and each entered pleas of not guilty to a charge of criminal damage by fire.
The boys are accused of setting fire to chairs on a veranda of the school’s courtyard in July 7. It is alleged that the fire then spread out of control, destroying most of the school.
The boys are scheduled to appear before the President of the Children’s Court on January 21.Sponsored links
