Men charged over car park blaze

Two men have been charged over a car fire was allegedly set alight near the Avon River yesterday afternoon.

Police allege a Holden Commodore, in the car park of Burlong Pool near Northam, was deliberately set on fire between 2.30pm and 3pm.

The two men, aged 20 and 22, were charged with criminal damage by fire after a report of a suspicious vehicle seen leaving the area.

The men are due to appear in Northam Magistrate's Court on December 3.
