Woman charged with attempted murder

A 32-year-old woman has been charged with attempting to murder a woman in an Albany home last month.

Albany detectives have charged the woman after investigating a domestic argument which occurred in Lockyer on Saturday, October 27.

Police were called to a Lockyer home and found a woman with injuries to her head and arm. It is alleged the accused attacked the 32-year-old with a knife after an argument.

The accused woman from Lockyer was arrested and charged with aggravated unlawful wounding, and was bailed to appear in the Albany Magistrates Court on November 22.

Information obtained during the investigation has resulted in the woman being further charged with attempt to murder and burglary with intent.

The woman is due to appear in the Albany Magistrates Court today.
