A bereaved mother faces more heartache after thieves broke into her home and stole computers with pictures of her dead son stored on them.
"They're meaningless to anyone apart from me," Leanne Mahony, 48, said last night.
Thieves smashed their way into Ms Mahony's Seville Grove home on Saturday night and stole everything of value, including jewellery, televisions and cameras.
But a laptop with a broken hinge and desktop computer are the items she desperately wants returned because they contain five years of precious photo memories of her 28-year-old son Jamie, who died 12 weeks ago.
Thieves also stole two suitcases of Jamie's personal items.
"Everything else that's been stolen can be replaced, but not those," Ms Mahony said.
The family returned to their home in McCubbin Loop to find the house torn apart."Because of the (laptop) computer being broken, I just fear they're going to throw it away," she said. "If they've got a heart, please just return his stuff."
