Usain Bolt may have been linked with cricket and soccer since his golden Olympic Games success but it was football which drew the sprinter's attention during his Australian holiday yesterday.
The world's fastest man was photographed proudly wearing a West Coast Eagles guernsey during a visit to Puma's head office in Victoria.
West Coast posted the photo of the "fellow sponsored Puma athlete" on its Facebook page yesterday.
"Think he could add some pace to our midfield," the club wrote on Facebook.
Bolt is taking a well- deserved break in Australia after blitzing the 100m and 200m events at the London Olympic Games.
At the Games, Bolt told media he intended to holiday in Australia. He arrived in the country last month.
"I want to say to the Australian people I'm coming to vacation in September. Look out," he said.
Since Olympic glory, the sprinter has been tipped to take part in a charity soccer match with Manchester United and has drawn praise from the cricket community for skills he picked up as a child.Meanwhile, the camera Bolt playfully took from a photographer and used to snap pictures of teammate Yohan Blake after winning the 200m at the Games is up for auction on eBay. His name is scratched on the top.
