Two injured in freeway crash

Two drivers have been taken to hospital after their cars crashed on the Mitchell Freeway this afternoon.

The incident happened about 12.05pm on the northbound Warwick Road exit ramp of the Mitchell Freeway south of Joondalup.

It is understood career firefighters had to free a female driver from one of the cars.

Both drivers were taken to Joondalup Health Campus with minor injuries.
