The family of shark attack victim Ben Linden have written moving tributes to the popular surfer, describing him as an inspiration who they would miss "beyond understanding".
"From the very beginning you filled our lives with joy, healing, hope and laughter," Mr Linden's parents Richard and Diana wrote in notices in today's edition of _The West Australian _. Mr Linden's sister Kelli Meugens also paid tribute to her brother, remembering fondly how he taught her to play the guitar.
"Brother, you were the light of my life the moment I saw you enter this world," she wrote.
"Ride the wave, dude. I'm so proud to have known and loved you." Mr Linden was killed by a great white shark near Wedge Island on Saturday.Sponsored links
